CVPA faculty

  • Dr. Gillam is an active educator, having taught at several higher-education institutions across the United States. His primary areas of interest are in music technology, composition, sound design, commercial music and music for media.

  • Ellen Rizzuto is the Business and Operations Manager of the George Mason University Dewberry School of Music. Ellen has an MA in Arts Management from George Mason University and a BM from Oberlin Conservatory in Horn Performance.

  • Dr. Soo Han is the newly appointed Director of Orchestral Studies at the Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music at George Mason University. He is also the Music Director of the Elkhart County Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Board of Directors of the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic.

  • Dr. Kelly Nam teaches game music courses with topics including, but not limited to, music composition, theory, history, and post-production.

  • Jacob Enfield is a game developer, educator, and researcher. Jacob has worked professionally as a game programmer with Edutainment Systems LLC and continues developing educational games through his company, Second Job Studios LLC, including a suite of games to promote the learning of mathematics.

  • Reece Quiñones, is a creative director with more than 25 years of experience managing the creative process from conception to delivery stages, including product development, publishing, UX design, marketing communications, production, and digital (app/web) processes. 

  • Emily Schneider is a creative marketer who thrives on research and inventive wordplay.

  • Lauren Wagner is the Assistant Dean for Student Academic Affairs for the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Lauren has been with George Mason University since 2010 and with our College since 2018. S

  • Vic Adebusola is a seasoned dancer, instructor, and arts manager. Vic is the Commercial Dance Director for Metropolitan School of the Arts, leading the organization's after-school hip-hop and contemporary dance programs.

  • Saxophonist, composer, and educator John Kocur is Assistant Professor of Jazz Studies at George Mason University where he directs the Jazz Workshop and teaches jazz history and improvisation. He previously taught at Northern Virginia Community College. He serves as saxophonist with the 257th Army Band of the D.C. National Guard, “the Band of the Nation’s Capital.”
