On March 19th, when Stacey Schwartz brought her Free Little Art Gallery to Professor Miki Goerdt's class to teach about community engagement within the arts. She is a 2023 MA Arts Management alum and MFA Arts Management student. When she isn't studying, she is the curator of the Free Little Art Gallery (FLAG) in Arlington, VA. The gallery brings audiences and artists from all over the country to give or take art from her gallery.

For the Arts Management Program's 20th Anniversary, the program hosted a panel with executive arts leaders. During the panel, the leaders tackled issues surrounding the arts today. From external factors such as funding to internal factors such as resisting change, the arts faces unknowns. Nonetheless, this group of speakers gave valuable insights on how to tackle these challenges.

Meet Jessica Leskin, an AMGT alumna! Since graduating in 2018, Jessica became the Director of Institutional Giving at Sitar Arts Center, a visual artist, and ceramics teacher. In her professional role, Jessica focuses on growing and sustaining funding from foundation, government, and corporate partners to support Sitar Arts Center’s mission and programs. Aside from her responsibilities in development, Jessica is passionate to engage youth and children through the arts.
