George Mason University Commencement and Degree Celebrations will be hosted on the Fairfax Campus from Thursday, May 18, through Saturday, May 20. Heavy traffic is expected on campus between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. each day. 

Campus Drive and Rapidan River Road will be milled and repaved from March 20–24. Work will occur between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., weather permitting. Traffic changes will be in effect.

Parking and Traffic Alert for Fairfax Campus: Oct. 13–15

Parking and traffic advisory for the first week of the fall semester at George Mason University's Fairfax Campus.

Several parking and traffic closures will occur on the Fairfax Campus from Aug. 17–21 to accommodate the move-in of nearly 6,000 residential students.

The Hylton Parking Lot at George Mason University's SciTech Campus will be closed during construction for the Life Sciences Engineering Building.

Parking lots around the Fairfax Campus will undergo paving and repairs from July 11–30, weather permitting.

A traffic signal at Mason Square (formerly the Arlington Campus) will be replaced May 25-26, 2022.
