A senior delegation from George Mason University’s Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations and Costello College of Business, along with Fairfax City Economic Development, recently visited Mason Korea for a weeklong strategic engagement to promote entrepreneurship education and business development.

As part of its commitment to sustainability and community engagement, George Mason University Korea held its fifth annual beach clean-up at Masian Beach in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, on April 19. Students, faculty, and staff from both Mason Korea and the University of Utah Asia Campus participated.

George Mason University Korea and the U.S. Embassy Seoul recently hosted the 2025 U.S.–Republic of Korea (ROK)–Japan Young Trilateral Leaders (YTL) Regional Workshop Series on the Mason Korea campus. The workshop featured sessions on peace technology led by experts from the Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason and the Faculty of Letters at Soka University in Japan.

George Mason University Korea recently welcomed Ambassador Joseph Yun, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the United States Mission in the Republic of Korea, for an exclusive fireside chat at the Incheon Global Campus Small Theater. 

George Mason University Korea, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Korea, the U.S. Embassy in Japan, and Coupang, will host the '2025 Korea-U.S.-Japan eSports Tournament,' a global initiative to foster strategic thinking, teamwork, and digital engagement among young gamers from Korea, the U.S., and Japan.

Last week, Mason Korea Campus Dean Joshua Park led a strategic visit to Vietnam to strengthen international partnerships across three key cities: Hanoi, Danang, and Ho Chi Minh.

In an interview with Incheon Ilbo, Joshua Park, campus dean of Mason Korea, emphasized collaboration with international universities to attract global talent to the Incheon Global Campus.

A team of student fellows at Mason Korea's Center for Security and Policy Studies received a grant from George Mason University to support their research on improving water quality in Incheon's Seunggi-cheon stream.

As Winter Graduation approaches, many graduating students enter a season of reflection. Natalie Strait, graduating this semester with a BS in Tourism and Events Management, looks back at her college experience with fondness. As a student in the Honors College, a member of the CEHD Student Advisory Board, a CEHD Student Ambassador, and president of the Tourism and Events Management Society, Natalie has made the most of her college experience. But her most memorable moments at George Mason were not on the Fairfax campus – or even in the United States.

Mason Korea recently joined forces with General Motors (GM) Korea to revitalize a youth home in Incheon's Bupyeong area through a collaborative beautification project. The activity was organized by Mason Cares, which focuses on community engagement around George Mason University’s Incheon campus, and Mason Korea’s Office of Development and Strategic Partnership.
