You’ve probably seen slimy mats of brownish green clinging to rocks in streams or on lake beds, and perhaps not given it another thought. But George Mason University’s Rosalina Stancheva Christova has.

This May, startups from across the globe came to Manassas, Virginia. Along with their suitcases, they brought polished presentations, new technologies, and big plans.

This April, 63 George Mason University students presented their research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Richmond.
