Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music

Moon School of Music is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic piano instructor to join their esteemed faculty.

Forest Heights Baptist Church in Oxon Hill, Maryland is in search of a pianist to accompany the church choir for Thursday weekly rehearsals, for one hour, and also the 11 o'clock weekly Sunday service.

The Salvation Army offers several disciplines in instrumental and choral music, dance, and theatre. They are looking for aspiring educators, camp staff counselors, lifeguards, leadership staff and more!

Friday, November 14 at the Center for the Arts, the concert features a partnership between George Mason University and Legal Services of Northern Virginia with a special guest appearance by George Mason President Gregory Washington.

Renowned American composer Ricky Ian Gordon will offer masterclasses, coaching, and public presentations in a week-long residency with the Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music. During Mason Opera’s spring performances of his opera “27”, Gordon will introduce each performance with his insights about this unique and engaging opera, based on Gertrude Stein's famed Paris salon at 27 Rue de Fleurus.

Two-time Mason alum Jamie VanValkenburg directed the Oakton High School Marching Band to victory in the inaugural Metallica marching band competition “For Whom the Band Tolls!”

Musician Warren Wolf hosted a masterclass and performance during Mason Jazz Camp.

Talented composer and rising senior in the Dewberry School of Music, Catherine "Kitty" Fields talks about her journey at Mason so far and what comes next for her musical future.

I am so very sorry to be writing to you today with such sad news.  Our wonderful friend, tireless advocate, and generous supporter of the arts at Mason (and so many other important things), Sid Dewberry, has left us.  He passed away on Saturday, July 16, at the age of 94.
