Reminder: Use Your Current Legal Name on the FAFSA

Body

To help prevent delays in financial aid processing, students must ensure that the name reported on the FAFSA exactly matches their current legal name as it appears on official documentation (such as a Social Security card, passport, or other government-issued records). Using a name that does not match your legal documentation may result in processing delays and could require you to submit FAFSA corrections before your financial aid eligibility can be finalized. If a correction is needed, the student must update their FAFSA directly.
