Job Summary

The Arts and Humanities Team at Fenwick Library seeks a Music/Film Student Assistant for the academic year, with potential for multi-year continuation. Working under the Music, Film Studies, and Video Collections Librarian, you will support music and film collections through independent and collaborative library projects.

· Eligibility: Undergraduate / Graduate (Student Wage and Federal Work-Study welcome) 

· Hours: 10 hours/week (Monday–Friday) 
· Pay: $15.00/hour 
· Start Date: The week of August 24, 2026

Core Duties

· Databases: Search library catalog and other databases to find, music scores, films, DVDs and other materials. 
· Media Preservation: Convert valuable VHS content to digital/DVD formats. 
· Project Support: Assist with the wedding projects, small music/film displays, and music library events. 
· Administration: Gather data for reports and perform other collection duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required: 

· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel. 
· Proficiency in searching library tools (databases). 
· Strong written, verbal, and customer service communication skills. 
· High accuracy, reliability, and ability to meet project deadlines. 
· Basic familiarity with various media formats (music scores, films, CDs).

Preferred: 
· Academic background in music, film studies, or visual arts. 
· Knowledge of classical music or foreign languages a plus.
