Be a part of the magic with Rob Lake

The first time a 10-year-old Rob Lake experienced a magic show, he knew with certainty he was staring down destiny.

“I was overwhelmed by the scale of the show,” Lake said in an interview with Wingman Magazine. “There were dozens of assistants and dancers, massive scenery, appearing cars, and I was even more overwhelmed by the wonder and mastery of it all. I vividly remember that show, and the feelings I had watching it. I just knew immediately that would be my life’s path. It wasn’t a dream or ambition; it was a full-fledged knowing.”

Since that moment, history has proved his instinct to be true. Lake, a true master illusionist, has headlined Broadway, network television, the Las Vegas Strip, Hollywood, Atlantic City, the Dubai Opera House, Atlantis Bahamas, and has delighted sold-out audiences in more than 60 countries worldwide. He is the youngest ever receipient of a Merlin Award, magic’s highest honor; NBC named him “The World’s Greatest Illusionist”; and he was a quarter finalist on America’s Got Talent. He takes pride in designing and executing each illusion, some of which can be years in the making.

“Because some of these illusions take years and years for me to create, I love the ones that are explosive, high-impact, and really visual,” Lake said in an interview with Pop Culturalist. “Those are fun to do… The stuff that keeps me most excited and engaged are the interactive pieces. I try to make a lot of my show interactive because it’s completely different every moment of the night... What [the audience is] seeing is not just technical equipment or skill, they’re seeing my personality, my humor, my ambitions, and my dreams all together.”

Lake has leant some of his magical dreaming other stage shows, serving as illusion designer, magic consultant, and creative collaborator for some of entertainment’s most high-profile productions, including multiple Broadway shows, Disney’s Aladdin, the hit musical Death Becomes Her, Harry Potter global philharmonic concert tours, Adele’s Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, and many more.
