Accordion Technician Workshop Enterprise

The demand for accordion repair has increased. Apprenticeship opportunity with current GMU students who may be interested.

The apprenticeship is for an accordion technician and includes the following:

Location: Alexandria, VA
Schedule: Flexible, ideal for part-time work
- 1 to 3 days per week
- 2 to 8 hours per day, depending on the apprentice’s availability and interest
- Can be as flexible as two shifts per month for students with busy schedules
Start date and duration: The position is available to begin as soon as possible, with ongoing work depending on the student’s schedule and interest
Compensation:
- Starting at 20 dollars per hour
- A pay increase will occur after 30 hours of training, with further increases as skills and experience grow
Training: No prior repair experience is required; I will provide hands-on training
Ideal candidate:
- Has an interest in the accordion and its mechanics
- Is interested in learning tools and trade labor skills
- Has some understanding for pitch and tuning
- Communicates scheduling and availability reliably
