Brenda C. Machuca, '18, CPA, is an experienced assurance professional with a strong background in federal government financial statement audits. Brenda has primarily audited benefit actuarial liabilities through managing comprehensive substantive testing, providing training and supervision to ensure excellence in work documents. With a proven track record in Veterans Affairs and Air Force engagements, Brenda demonstrates exceptional communication, problem-solving, and audit engagement management skills. In addition to her federal government assurance roles, Brenda has audited clients across various industries, including broadcast media, newspapers, energy, and employee benefit plans. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the Virginia Board of Accountancy; Brenda also holds an active DoD Secret Clearance. She is dedicated to continuous professional development, annually exceeding 40 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and staying well-versed in governmental auditing standards. With a Master of Science in Accounting and a Certificate in Forensic Accounting from George Mason University, Brenda is committed to delivering exceptional service and expertise to clients.
